In the past few months, we had several friends that had babies and I got the pleasure of driving all over to capture their adorable-ness :) Hope you enjoy!
Meet our precious baby girl, Naomi Claire…
She arrived exactly 1 month ago today by c-section and was 9 lbs 11 oz and 21.25 inches long!
As I’m sure you can understand, life has been a whirlwind since, hence the lack of blogging on my part. From c-section recovery to learning to breast feed (no, it’s not as natural as one might think!) to not getting more than 2 hours of sleep at a time, I have been trying to get the hang of this thing called motherhood. But, oh how much we are in love with this incredible gift from God! She is such a sweet and beautiful baby and I feel so much joy knowing I get to be her mother.
Here are some fun things she is doing:
-Always has to have her hands touching her face (even while she was in utero she did this!)
-LOVES to be held
-Makes really good eye contact
-Likes to be swaddled to sleep in her crib
-Gives the sweetest smiles :)
-Loves to fall asleep on Daddy’s chest
-Really likes bath time and the warm water
-Has great awake time after her mid-morning feeding
-Sleeps pretty good at night
-Gets fussy right before a feeding since we have to wake her up for them most of the time
-Could sleep all night if I let her
-Loves her car seat and falls asleep pretty much once she’s strapped in
-I just discovered that caffeine=BIG NO NO! I haven’t had any really since having her except for yesterday when I had a couple Dr. Peppers. She was fussy all night and all day so far today :( But this is not normal for her.
-Loves mommy and daddy’s kisses and even opens her mouth to kiss us back! :) I know, she’s probably just rooting, but I like to think she is trying to give us kisses :)
-Falls asleep eating most of the time and I have to almost constantly stimulate her with a cold, wet rag
Naomi is pretty much awesome ;) And I of course could not wait to get my camera on her!
Loooove those kissable cheeks of hers!
Stay tuned for the birth story, a few weddings and an engagement session I’ve yet to blog!
Isn’t she beautiful?? Daddy is in the military, so he brought an American flag to use in the shoot. I love how it turned out in this photo!
It took us a while to get her to fall asleep so we could get these last few shots, but it was so worth it! She is just precious!
Loved these last 2 where we incorporated Momma’s saddle and a cute diaper cover made just for her…
Thanks B family for welcoming me into your home to capture your bundle of joy!
Baby Geana had other plans the day I came to photograph her. According to her mama, she normally slept most of the day, but that day, after being fed, burped, and rocked, she was not in the mood to sleep, apparently : ). So, we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, little Geana gave up her battle to stay awake so we could play dress up and take some beautiful pictures of her. And I was thrilled with the outcome! Here are the favorites…
And just when you think you can’t get enough of those sweet little Lynch boys, Momma goes and has another one! Meet Jackson Xavier. Cute and cuddly and oh so perfect! Normally, he is one of the calmest babies to be around, but I think he was a little camera weary during our session and had a hard time falling asleep for us. Mom and I still fought hard to get some shots of this little one, and I think we won : )
A couple months ago, I had the pleasure of trying my hand at photographing a newborn. I was extremely nervous, not really knowing what to expect. I had watched online videos and read blogs of other newborn photographers to prepare myself somewhat and see what types of photos I wanted to capture. Needless to say, newborns are unpredictable! : ) When I arrived at the session, Adilee was awake and calm, and after some initial photos, mom and dad lulled her to sleep. Here are the favorites…
Isn’t she beautiful?
Her little yawns were so precious : )
